- 1 lbPork skin
- 1 tspSea salt, or 3/4 tsp for less salty
- 2 inchesAvocado oil, for frying
BMethod
- Preheat oven to 300°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Remove lard from pork skin carefully; cut skin into 1x2 inch rectangles using sharp shears.
- Arrange skin pieces in single layer, fat-side down. Season with sea salt.
- Bake 1-2 hours until dried, crispy, and golden. Drain on paper towels.
- Heat avocado oil to 350°F in large pot. Fry skin in small batches 1-3 minutes until puffy.
- Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
