with Mushroom Gravy

AIngredients
  • 2 lbground beef
  • 1onion, diced
  • 2eggs
  • 1 tbspWorcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbspdried parsley
  • 2 tspsalt
  • 1/2 tsp eachgarlic powder, onion powder, black pepper
  • 7 tbspbutter
  • 2 cupssliced mushrooms
  • 1 cupbeef broth
  • 1 tspWorcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cupsour cream
BMethod
  1. Form the patties. Mix ground beef, half the diced onion, eggs, 1 tbsp Worcestershire, parsley, salt and seasonings. Shape into 6 oval patties.
  2. Sear. Melt 3 tbsp butter in a large skillet. Sear patties 4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. Build the gravy. Add remaining butter to the skillet. Saute remaining onion and mushrooms until soft. Stir in beef broth and 1 tsp Worcestershire. Simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Finish. Stir in sour cream. Return patties to the gravy. Cover and simmer 15 minutes until cooked through.
Dial-in tip
Make extra gravy — it's good on everything. The sour cream makes it silky without flour. Serve over cauliflower mash for the full comfort-food experience.
